Be a part of the Most Prestigious Camps in the Country. Camp Rio Vista was the Southwest's first private camp, established in 1921. The Hawkins family has been in the camping business since the 1940s, obtained Camp Rio Vista in 1977 and started Camp Sierra Vista for Girls in 1982. Three generations of the family now operate the camps on the banks of the Guadalupe River in the beautiful Texas Hill Country.

Prior campers may use Earlybird signup until September 1st. Those interested in sending a new camper for the summer of 2005 should contact us relatively early, as spaces fill sooner every year. We have about an 80% return rate, which leaves a limited number of openings for new campers. Some of our sessions fill by January and February, although we maintain waiting lists and often place children off of those. We can guarantee a spot only on receipt of an application and deposit. Because of the high demand we are not able to hold spots indefinitely. Spaces are quite limited for International campers (including those with dual citizenship) and most of those are filled by returning campers. We strongly urge you to inquire early concerning International openings.
Application forms can be obtained through this link.
